Doors and the walk in
Madero Tango's theatre sits on Alicia Moreau de Justo, its glass frontage lit up along the docks as evening sets in over Puerto Madero. Guests arriving on the VIP or Black tiers are collected by the included transfer; everyone else makes their own way to the door, where the room's one-way walking routes and two entrances start sorting the night's bookings toward their tables.
Being seated
Every table at Madero Tango is a shared table, seating up to eight, and the venue's own listing is specific that each reservation keeps to its own place settings even on a shared table — you aren't mixed into another party's booking, but you should expect company beyond your own group. Tables are positioned so the stage and the room's glass wall over the water are both in view, rather than facing one and not the other.
The lesson, if it's on your ticket
On the VIP and Black dinner-shows, a company dancer runs a short lesson on the floor before dinner starts — the basic walk and the closed embrace, aimed squarely at guests who have never danced tango rather than at anyone with existing steps. It isn't offered on the Only Show, Stalls or Executive options, so it's worth checking which package you've actually booked.
Dinner
Once the room has settled, a three-course dinner is served, with six options at each course and wine, beer and soft drinks included at the table on every dinner tier. The venue also lists vegetarian, vegan, low-sodium and gluten-free menus, along with a children's menu — worth flagging when you book rather than assuming it'll be sorted on the night.
Magia! on stage
Once tables are cleared, the house production, Magia!, opens: a live band, singers, dancers and actors, staged with projection screens behind the performers rather than a bare set. Trade listings describe more than twenty people involved across the show, which runs through a sequence of numbers rather than a single fixed routine.
The last dance
The company takes its final bow and the floor opens up for guests who want to stay on and dance, the glass wall behind the stage still holding the lit docks outside. Guests on the VIP or Black transfer are returned to their accommodation once the room starts to clear; everyone else heads back out onto Alicia Moreau de Justo under their own steam.
